Herbs

Herbs have been with us from the beginning of civilization. Simply taking a walk through a forest has been proven to balance hormone flow, improve brain circulation, and helps regulate the balance of water in the body. Man has used herbs to treat illnesses for thousands of years. Most of the world’s people continue to use herbs to the benefit of their bodies. Herbs are safe, extremely reliable, and when used properly, have no side effects. In tandem with an accurate diagnosis herbs relieve the body of stress usually caused by the toxic overload. For the long run, herbs contribute to the overall health of an individual. At the Phoenix Institute, they are a superior form of treatment. Herbs do not depress the body like many pharmaceuticals, but rather put the body in tune with nature.

The use of herbs is documented in the Holy Bible. In the Bible’s book of Genesis, it is written that God said, “I have given you every herb-bearing seed; which is upon the face of the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” The bible’s book of Ezekiel says, “The fruit of the tree is for man’s meat, the leaves for man’s medicine.” The Chinese have practiced herbal use for 5000 years. The Chinese are noted for their knowledge and use of the herb Ginseng. Many Chinese believe that regular use of this herb prolongs life.

Herbs are considered to be for food rather than medicine because they are complete, all natural, and pure as nature intended. When herbs are taken, the body begins to be cleansed, purifying itself. This slowly gives the body nutrients to function as God intended. Unlike chemically, synthesized, highly concentrated petro-chemical drugs that produce countless side effects, herbs can realign the body’s defense systems—helping it to seal itself.
